Beatriz Ball Collection Awarded Top Prize in Tabletop Category of ARTS Awards for the Second Time

Dallas Market Center, the world’s largest wholesale merchandise resource, and the Accessories Resource Team (ART), the trade association representing the decorative accessory industry, announced New Orleans-based metalware manufacturer, Beatriz Ball Collection, winner of the 23rd Annual ARTS Awards in the Tabletop Category. The company was awarded the same top prize two years ago.

The ARTS Awards is the premier awards program for the home decorative accessories industry, and recognizes excellence from retailers, manufacturers, sales representatives and designers. The awards are presented “Golden Globes” style at a glamorous gala event held during the Dallas International Gift and Home Accessories Market. This year’s gala took place at the ARTS Awards’ new location, the Hilton Anatole Hotel.

More than 600 guests attended the ceremony that recognized ARTS Award winners in 26 different categories.

Beatriz Ball Collection, founded by New Orleans’ Beatriz Ball, has achieved its place as the premiere manufacturer in the field of fine handmade metalware through innovative designs in a special lustrous alloy of many metals. The company displays its product in showrooms and trade shows in major markets across the country, and is offered for select retail sale in gift and specialty stores in the United States and abroad.

This year marks the fifth year that Beatriz Ball Collection was nominated in the Tabletop category, and the second time that the company was awarded the prize.

The distinguished panel of judges for this year’s awards included Martha Griffin, executive editor of Design Guide; Donna Moss, interior designer, retailer and star of HGTV’s “Donna Decorates Dallas”; Melanie Belew, interior designer and owner of Belew Design Studio; and Susan Inglis, producer, importer, sourcing agent and broker in the home furnishings, fashion and gift industries.

“Since the ARTS Awards are a peer-nominated awards program, we are honored to be singled out for this prestigious honor for the second time. This acknowledgement really makes us feel special, and gaining the respect of our peers is both validating and inspiring,” said Beatriz Ball, founder and president of Beatriz Ball Collection. “It is truly an honor to be nominated, but winning the award inspires all of us to continue to create new designs and to strive for excellence in all aspects of our business.”

In a stirring acceptance speech, Beatriz Ball acknowledged the contributions of the dedicated artisans who create lustrous metal designs entirely by hand in the company’s Mexico-based foundry.
