GLM’S Global Home Business Expands to Include Global Home Decor

Orlando, FL, – Building on the success of Global Home Textiles , George Little Management, LLC (GLM) will expand it’s global home business to include a new sourcing show, Global Home Decor . The annual show will present some 300 overseas suppliers of accent furniture, home accessories, lighting, tabletop and giftware, to North American home decor buyers, including importers, wholesalers, distributors and mid- to large size volume retailers. Global Home Decor will debut May 6-8, 2008, and will be collocated with Global Home Textiles, in the Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas NV.

Meeting the needs of the home textiles and home decor industries, the shows will be collocated with two other major home products events, GLM’s Gourmet Housewares Show and Reed Exhibition’s National Hardware Show – broadening the business potential of the marketplace and benefiting attendees with expanded resources.

Based on industry indicators and feedback from constituents, GLM has decided to expand its global business parameters to include home decor. Global Home Decor will capitalize on the momentum of Global Home Textiles, and the synergy between the home textiles and home decor categories.

“Global Home Decor will bring the world to U.S. buyers – meeting their global sourcing needs with the efficiency of one total home products marketplace,” said Penny Sikalis, vice president, GLM.

“We are thrilled to add these product categories to our overall global business, and create a forum for home decor buyers and overseas suppliers to connect and nurture business-building relationships.

Global Home Decor will be modeled after Global Home Textiles, with GLM working with a network of worldwide agents to gather reputable, export-ready manufacturers fro Asia, Africa, Eastern Europe and South America. Participation from countries including Brazil, China, Columbia, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Poland, Portugal, South Africa, Thailand and Vietnam, among others, is anticipated.

To meet the sourcing education needs of the home textiles and home decor industries, Global Home Decor and Global Home Textiles will present a combined Global Conference Program, informing both exhibitors and attendees on current sourcing topics. The conference will be structured to educate overseas manufacturers and trade representatives about how to succeed in the U.S. marketplace, while educational forums for importers will provide business-building sessions for North American companies focused on global sourcing.

Global Home Decor, serving U.S. importers, wholesalers and mid- to large volume retailers seeking to source directly from overseas producers, will showcase home decor manufacturers and their manufacturing capabilities. The Show will feature some 300 manufacturers from around the world. The first edition of the annual show will run May 6-8, 2008, at the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC), in Las Vegas, NV, and will be collocated with GLM’s Global Home Textiles and Gourmet Housewares Show, and Reed Exhibition’s National Hardware Show.
