Pressman Toy Announces Two Exciting Games Based on NBC’s Top-Rated Game Show “Identity”

New York City – This summer, fans of the hit game show “Identity” on NBC will be able to test whether or not they have a knack for guessing the identities of complete strangers, just like the television contestants. Universal Studios Consumer Products Group has granted Pressman Toy Corporation the license to create “Identity” board and card games in the United States and Canada.

Hosted by comedian/magician Penn Jillette, “Identity” is an intense game show of impulse and reasoning that asks contestants to size up a group of 12 strangers and match their identities to win a top prize of $500,000.

Identity Board Game

Available: Summer 2007

For 2 to 4 players; Ages 8 to adult; SRP: $20

Like on NBC’s popular TV show “Identity,” the contestant sees 12 stranger cards and is given 12 identities to match up. They announce the most obvious match-up first: the man carrying the potted plant is, in fact, the gardener. There are two helps the contestant can use in a pinch. Mistaken Identity allows the contestant to get one match-up wrong without being forced out of the game. In Tri-Dentity, the host shows the contestant three strangers, one of whom has the identity in question. After one player has been the contestant, the players switch roles and the player with the most money at the end wins. Contents: 100 stranger cards, stage, 12 stranger stands, wipe-off money board, money board stand, wipe-off pen, instructions and solution booklet. (Card game version; SRP: $10).
