A Change on Main: TollettBy Lawrence GravesThe Nashville News

Tollett’s Gifts, a fixture on Nashville Main Street for over half a century, is changing hands but the new owners vow to continue the legacy of excellent customer service established by the former owners.

Dale and Melinda Bennett have purchased Tollett’s Gifts which was owned by Jimmie Jean White of Nashville and family members of the late Billy White and Jimmie Jean White. Randy White of Nashville has managed the business for the past six years.

“I have a lot of respect for Jimmie Jean and I want her to be proud of what we do,” Melinda Bennett said. She plans to keep the “Tollett’s Gifts” name as well as most of their lines.

Bennett has been operating her own interior decorating and home re-design business out of her home for six years. She plans to now run that business out of Tollett’s as well as add her own home and interior decorating lines and displays in the store.

“We also plan to expand Tollett’s highly successful bridal and gift registry,” Bennett said.
