Same owner, new storeBy Mark LambirdAdvocatePress.com

Flora, Ill. — At the corner of West North Avenue and South Main Street is one of the Flora’s most recognizable buildings, the Stanford Building.

After years of being open and closed, a few years ago, new owners Robin and Ken Jackson took the building and gutted the first floor and remodeled it.

They had operated Downtown Dollar in the location, but closed the location and one in Olney earlier this year.

The Jacksons are reopening the location with a new twist.

Robin’s Corner will open Aug. 18 and will include Downtown Dollar’s best selling merchandise and a mini-antique/craft mall.

Robin Jackson said the store will include home décor items, party supplies, cell phone supplies and some other items.

The biggest change will be the mini-mall in the east-side of the building. There are several booths that contain anything from antiques and collectibles to hair bows and sports team wear.
