New Flower Shop Blooms on Madison Avenue in Sturgeon BayBy Ramelle BintzDoorCountyAdvocate.com

Sturgeon Bay, WI – Flowers popped up on the west side of Sturgeon Bay Jan. 9 when Door County Floral opened its doors at 60 S. Madison Ave.

Owner Jeremy Stichman and manager Kyle Hogarty were formerly designing weddings and arranging floral bouquets with Sturgeon Bay Florist on the city’s east side. After five years, Stichman said it was time to step out on his own.

The duo had already arranged balloon arches and floral displays for Casino night at Stone Harbor and the Angel Ball for the Altrusa Club in January.

Door County Floral offers a three-foot-wide, heart-shaped arrangement made of 120 balloons for one of the biggest days for florists — Valentine’s Day. Balloon sculptures, wind chimes, and Door County gift baskets featuring local products like Lily Bay Soaps are also used with floral gifts and displays.
