The 12 Days of Christmas Celebrated in Exquisitely Detailed Springerle Cookie Molds, Ideal for Baking and Crafting

House on the Hill, known for its replica cookie molds in a variety of images, has debuted 14 new Springerle molds celebrating the holiday and winter season. Commissioned by House on the Hill owner Connie Meisinger, designed by Judy Jeske and originally hand-carved in fruit wood by Vince Marine, all residents of the Chicago area, the new cookie molds are replicated and hand-finished. House on the Hill Springerle molds are ideally suited for baking and crafting.

“Over the years, many customers have requested cookie molds with images from the song ‘The Twelve Days of Christmas.’ Unable to find such historic molds, I decided to start from scratch,” explained Connie Meisinger, House on the Hill owner/Springerle baking instructor. “Designed with history in mind, the whimsical images in this new collection are sure to delight both bakers and crafters alike.”

The “12 Days of Christmas” Springerle mold series ($28.50 each; $290.00 for all 12 molds) includes a dozen images, from the partridge in a pear tree to 12 drummers drumming. Each mold, 2.5 x 3.375 inches, is perfect for making cookies, crafting paper cast tree ornaments or display. An additional two molds feature impeccably crafted snow scenes, Frosty and Frosty’s Tree ($29.50 each). These two molds are roughly 2.5 x 3.5 inches.

The 12 days in the song represent the 12 days starting Christmas Day, or in some traditions, the day after Christmas (December 26; Boxing Day or St. Stephen’s Day) to the eve of the Epiphany, or the Feast of the Epiphany(January 5th or 6th), formerly the last day of the Christmas merrymaking. Springerle molds are often collected and passed down from generation to generation. House on the Hill’s beautiful hand-finished molds can also be displayed as holiday tree ornaments and beautiful family keepsakes year-round.
