Cash Mob Descends on Books & Co. Resulting in Store’s Most Successful DayBy Lynn FredricksenCTPostChronicle.com

Hamden, CT – Saturday’s Cash Mob led to the most successful day in the 18-year history of Books & Co.

Through the Hamden Economic Development Corp. and officials at Hamden’s Chamber of Commerce, several local businesses were nominated for a Cash Mob. Books & Co. in Whitneyville, a long time community hub, won the opportunity and owners staged the Cash Mob on Saturday complete with local musicians who volunteered their time and talents to make the event even more fun.

“Small businesses throughout Connecticut have struggled in the last three years due to the economic downturn,” said Linda Moser, Books & Co. owner. “It’s a rough time. People have fewer dollars to spend on things other than food and shelter.”
