Shop at Home: Chamber Launches Campaign
Plainview, TX – In a move designed to help change a negative into a positive, the Plainview Chamber of Commerce has launched a $3,500 media campaign to both promote Plainview and encourage local and residents to shop at home.
Speaking at Wednesday morning’s Chamber directors meeting, Executive Director Linda Morris noted that the move ties in well with other local efforts to support local businesses in light of the recent Cargill beef packing plant closure. The Chamber’s effort is being supported by a financial contribution from Atmos Energy and will include billboards, radio and newspaper advertising.
“The billboards began going up last week and will include signs at Fifth and Denver, Fifth and Travis and on the highway for people traveling in from Lubbock,” she explained.
