Local Company Launches “The Community”
Metro-Detroit based company, Bedside Healers, continues its mission to comfort and encourage those who need it most with the launch of their new web site “The Community.”
The Community is an interactive portal where people who are or have been ill can share their story through videos, pictures, and text. With a simple click, this information can then be shared through all social media profiles so that friends and family can be updated and those far and near can interact with their loved one. The general public will also have access to The Community and can share their stories and words of encouragement to those who need it most.
Each profile will be connected to the Bedside Healers store, where these unique and innovative stuffed animals can be shipped to hundreds of hospitals across the country. Bedside Healers™ come equipped with an easy-to-use Velcro strap so that patients can easily attach them to their beds, IVs, wheelchairs, walkers, etc.
The company was founded over a year ago by metro Detroit resident Jason Peach following his father’s extended hospital stay. Since then, Bedside Healers has donated hundreds of these cuddly stuffed animals to hospitals throughout the country.
The launch of The Community is the company’s next step in its mission to “always be there.” According to Peach, “we are excited about our new website and its innovative technology because we want to enable each and every person to be their own Bedside Healer. We are ecstatic that The Community is the place where that happens.”
Bedside Healers will host their 2nd annual Kentucky Derby fundraiser on Saturday, May 4 in Royal Oak. All proceeds will be donated to the Children’s Miracle Network and used to provide Bedside Healers™ to sick children at Royal Oak Beaumont Hospital.
