Grafton, IL – Pieces of driftwood from the banks of the Mississippi River find new life as hand-crafted furniture thanks to the talents and creativity of Jersey County native Terry Wedding.

“Each piece of wood I collect has to look like it will fit something,” Wedding, a veteran tow boat pilot, said.

His finished pieces are featured at Pixie Stix in Grafton, a unique gift shop owned by Wedding and his wife, Debbie. His Mississippi Driftwood furniture and Twig furniture have become synonymous with Pixie Stix and Grafton, although Wedding is modest about his work.
