Downtown Designs: Yana Dee Apparel Shop Opens Wednesday
Traverse City, MI – Yana Dee, 31, is a very busy woman.
Her new downtown women’s clothing store, named Yana Dee, opens Wednesday. But that’s just the visible tip of the iceberg.
Dee designs all the clothing sold in the store. She has a part-time crew of about a dozen people who assist in various capacities, but Dee personally sews a large portion of the clothing that sports her label. She regularly travels to arts and crafts shows in Detroit, Chicago and Toronto to sell her product. She sells garments on her website. She spends time in her workshop a mile from downtown Traverse, creating furniture from recycled materials.
