Consignment Shop Offers Artisan Goods
Wappingers Falls, NY – In the 18 months Toni Cesiro has been in business, the number of artisans that sell goods through her shop has quadrupled.
“I decided to start with a retail shop, but what it has become is (me) helping all these artisans grow their business and grow their craft,” said Cesiro, of Created with Love Boutique, a consignment shop in Wappingers Falls. The 24 artisans involved are from this area and beyond, and offer handmade and natural goods, including lotions and soaps, clothing and accessories, home decor, jewelry and more.
At first, Cesiro rented out separate spaces in her 500-square-foot boutique to local artisans to sell their handmade goods. But the arrangement wasn’t a good fit for everyone, so Cesiro moved to a consignment agreement, where money made through the sale of each artist’s products is shared in a divided percentage by Cesiro and that artisan.
