LA Mart Design Center showrooms to exhibit fine furnishings, accessories lines at prestigious Dwell on Design LA show, June 24-26

The LA Mart Design Center, Southern California’s singular, comprehensive source for designer and custom-manufactured furniture and accessories, has teamed with Dwell on Design LA, (DODLA) the U.S.A.’s largest design event, to present the West Coast’s wide-ranging designer, retailer and consumer communities a preview of the expansive selection of furniture and accessories brands represented at the LA Mart’s long-standing and rapidly growing Design Center (LAMDC). The unprecedented event, open to both the trade and to consumers, including all furniture, home accents, and lifestyle enthusiasts, will highlight innovative, on-trend LAMDC merchandise in a 400 square foot booth that creates a design-driven, modern “Loft” environment and “outdoor” space. The Dwell on Design LA show will take place June 24 through June 26, 2016, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

“We are delighted to have our Design Center’s tenants participate in the Dwell On Design LA event for the first time. This exciting opportunity to partner in such an important, cutting-edge design show marks the beginning of a truly dynamic alliance with DODLA which will lead to unique and unparalleled collaborations between us starting in 2017,” said Frank Joens, sr. vice president and general manager.

The imaginative LAMDC lifestyle booth at the Dwell on Design LA show will be curated, designed and created by well-known Los Angeles-based designer Maria Videla-Juniel, owner and curator of The Art of Room Design in La Canada Flintridge, CA. Ms. Videla-Juniel was the winning designer on HGTV’s popular Designer’s Challenge television show, as well as being chosen to execute outstanding living spaces as one of the elite designers invited to originate and create rooms in and unprecedented six Pasadena Showcase Houses. Her award-winning work has also been featured in Better Homes & Gardens, as well as “Best of Houzz” designed for the international professional design community.

The LA Mart Design Center is the home for over 30 fine furniture, decorative accessories, lighting, rug, wallpaper, garden products and textile-oriented showrooms that represent 500+ leading lines in the design industry.

Supported by the editors of the highly respected publication, the annual Dwell on Design Show, known at the “largest design event in the United States,” serves the professional interior design community, architects, landscape experts and design enthusiasts, showcasing over 2,000 imaginative, on-trend furnishings and home products as well as ground-breaking new design technologies in a three-day exhibition open to the trade only on the first day, and to the public for the remainder of the show.

The collaboration between the LAMDC and DODLA marks the very first time that the event has partnered with any permanent trade mart in its Los Angeles location.
