Spring 2017
Trend Report: Spring’s Finest Finery By Sarah Schwartz

Back in December, Greenery was named Pantone’s 2017 Color of the Year. Like a refreshing cool breeze, this tone evokes spring’s first days when nature revives, restores and renews us, Leatrice Eiseman, executive director at the Pantone Color Institute, emphasized. “The tangy yellow-green speaks to our desire to express, explore, experiment and reinvent, imparting a sense of buoyancy,” she added. “Through its reassuring yet assertive vibrancy, Greenery offers us self-assurance and boldness to live life on our own terms, during a time when we are redefining what makes us successful and happy.”

Adding dimension to Greenery in Pantone’s spring fashion line-up are Niagara, Pale Dogwood, Primrose Yellow and Flame — and I also examine them in this issue’s Trend Report. Read on to see these tones in action!
