Maker’s Spotlight: Hester and Cook

When searching for paper placemats, table runners and other decorative paper products, Hester and Cook is the perfect place to look. With showrooms at both Las Vegas Market and Atlanta Market, the brand has strong southern roots in Nashville, Tenn. Owners Angie Hester Cook and Robbie Cook founded the company 17 years ago with a single product, KnobStoppers, and the rest, as they say, is history.
“We are the pioneer and prominent player in the elevated paper tabletop category,” Angie said. “Something that makes us stand out is our ability to incorporate emerging artists into our stationery collectives and into the Hester and Cook assortment.” Those exclusive artists’ designs show up on unique greeting cards, whimsical tablescapes and more.
New Additions
Hester and Cook’s showrooms are filled with numerous collections for the fall and upcoming holidays. Their collections include a Cabinet of Curiosities for Halloween and a fall collection with festive autumn florals and corn called Gathering Maize. Plus, Hester and Cook offers a Christmas collection centered around The Twelve Days of Christmas.
Aside from paper products, Hester and Cook has introduced new items to expand their offerings.
“We have stepped into the hard goods business with the recent introduction of place card holders and napkin rings,” Angie said. “We also produce custom lighting that beautifully incorporates vintage pieces into the designs.”
Buyers love Hester and Cook’s napkin collections and other stationery products. Their holiday and seasonal paper offerings always sell well at Las Vegas Market and Atlanta Market.
“We have a quickly growing paper napkin business. With our own in-house illustrators and artist partners, we are able to create a variety of designs,” she said.
Hester and Cook proudly runs The Wonderful Life Foundation — a nonprofit organization founded in 2009 by Angie and Robbie Cook which offers direct assistance to families experiencing financial hardship in conjunction with life-threatening illnesses. Hester and Cook donates a portion of all sales to the foundation and is committed to supporting families with children affected by cancer and other serious conditions.
Hester and Cook recently opened an expanded showroom space in Las Vegas with plenty of room to showcase their products. Their engaging team loves to show off everything Hester and Cook have to offer while providing Southern hospitality from coast to coast.
