Summer Starts Sooner: Retailers face an earlier-than-ever buying season By Carly McFadden

With Atlanta Market shifting to June, retailers face an earlier-than-ever buying season. Preview the upcoming product debuts.

A calendar shift is setting the tone for summer 2026 — and the industry is eager to see how it affects buying season.

The summer edition of Atlanta Market moves to June 9-14 this year, departing from its traditional July timing to accommodate the FIFA World Cup 2026, which will bring matches to Atlanta from mid-June through late July. The result: an earlier start to the summer buying season and a major market moment arriving weeks ahead of schedule. By co-locating with Atlanta Apparel June 2026 and opening Temporaries June 9-13, the market brings together more than 6,500 brands across gift, home, lifestyle and select apparel categories in a single trip. For retailers, it creates an earlier view on emerging product and a compressed window to place orders, test categories and refine assortments heading into late summer and holiday.

ANDMORE has paired the date move with practical incentives — expanded hotel blocks across Midtown, Buckhead and Downtown and a remerchandised temporary layout designed to encourage cross-category discovery.

With buying pulled forward, retailers and vendors alike will be evaluating how earlier market timing influences product flow, reorder cadence and seasonal strategy.

Here we present some new-to-market introductions that are slated to debut this summer.

Summer 2026 Markets to Watch

Atlanta may kick things off, but the full summer circuit will shape how the second half of the year comes together:

Dallas Total Home & Gift Market: June 24-30
Typically held in late June, Dallas follows closely on Atlanta’s heels, offering a strong mid-season checkpoint — especially for replenishment, regional lines and immediate inventory needs.

Las Vegas Market: July 26-30
Happening in late July, Las Vegas continues to serve as a key West Coast and national sourcing hub, with a broad mix of gift, home décor and lifestyle resources.

NY NOW: Aug. 2-4
New York’s market remains a destination for design- driven and artisan-forward product, with a curated mix that skews independent and specialty retail.

Shoppe Object: Aug. 2-4
Running alongside NY NOW, Shoppe Object continues to build momentum with highly curated, trend-forward brands — often serving as an early indicator of emerging aesthetics and smaller-scale makers gaining traction.

1. Palma Crossbody. Montemaré.

2. Snappy Shark. Clockwork Soldier via Just Got 2 Have It!

3. Black Cat Martini Cocktail Napkin. Seltzer Goods.

4. Playing Cards Book Box Set — Woodland Wonders. Good JuJu Ink.

5. Complimentary Colors Grow Kits. Modern Sprout.
