Most Sellable

Winner – Life on Earth Tot Towers by Eeboo Corporation
boxplayforkids.com

The sticker sets from Box Play for Kids transform cartons into toys. The product line was inspired by the toddler daughter of company owner, Janette Eusebio Harwell.

“Kids are obsessed with stickers and old, empty boxes,” Harwell says. “We thought it would be a great idea to repurpose and upcycle boxes, cartons and tubes into fun, simple little toys.”

In fact, Harwell and her husband credit their daughter Chloe, with inventing the company. The Harwell parents are designers with experience in package design, branding and marketing. The product was an opportunity for the Harwells to promote an eco-friendly lifestyle. The stickers are meant to be used on cardboard boxes and cartons that would otherwise be thrown away.

Drink chillers from Sea Stones (Windham, NH)

These stay-cool coasters are made of natural stone, recycled glass, and recycled rubber. The unique design incorporates stone “ice cubes”—the re-purposed cores generated from drilling holes in the company’s line of stone napkin rings. Rubber jackets are custom-molded around each tile for a proper fit. For every smooth stone that’s collected, a rough quarry stone is “planted” for the water to tumble into smoothness.

The company’s entire studio is heated and cooled with a geothermal heat pump.

This product is 100% upcycled aluminum metal, and can be melted and recycled. This company partners with the Swiss NGO, Helvetas, and Laotian artisans who upcycle bomb and other war scrap metal found in their community. The life cycle is a closed loop: bomb metal dropped in Laos is recycled into peaceBOMBs; consumers “buy back the bombs,” enabling A22 to buy back even more bombs to support economic development and the clearance of unexploded bombs.

This company donates to the village development fund and supports efforts to clear unexploded bombs from Laos land.
