Spring 2010
Greeting Cards Galore! By Sharon Anne Waldrop

Shopping for Stationery

The 2010 National Stationery Show will take place May 16-19 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City. Over 900 exhibitors will showcase greeting cards, social stationery, invitations, gift wrap, ribbons, party supplies, scrapbooking materials, and much more.

“There are a lot of things that we do every year to make the show a different experience for our attendees. The show is the core source for the best selection of social stationery products available,” says Patti Stracher, Show Manager.

A couple hundred companies are expected to launch their businesses at the event. “These are companies who are young, with up-and-coming design, and fresh resources that have never been on the market before,” says Stracher. “It’s an element of discovery that’s really distinctive. What retailers will find are things they won’t find in other stores, at other shows, or in their rep’s briefcase because the merchandise is just being released.”

“They are literally hot off the press,” Stracher adds.
