A Long Beach Island retailer that has been serving shoppers for 33 years

Indian Summer, a boutique that offers apparel, swimsuits, bras and more, has been in business for 33 years. Marla Wink, owner, said that she typically attends NY NOW and works with vendors who visit her store. Best-sellers at Indian Summer include PJ Salvage sleepwear, swimsuits and Chantelle bras. Her displays and offerings capture shoppers’ attention.

The store prides itself on its customer service and customers are greeted with smiles and staff, and Wink herself, are available to help shoppers find exactly what they are looking for.

Indian Summer is open from mid-March through Thanksgiving weekend and during the summer season, Wink employs four employees. “I love the freedom of having five months off at a time,” Wink shared.

In August, Wink begins ordering inventory for the following summer season. “I work with reps from many of the top lingerie and swimwear companies. I am at a place now where the reps will visit my store to show me the different collections,” she explained. “IF I do go to a trade show, I will go to the Javitz Center or to Trendz in West Palm Beach, or to Curves in New York City.”
