so prevalent in our society are HEAVY! Humorous products are occupying more shelf space as the need to laugh has never been greater. Consumers are looking for merchandise that gives them inspiration or an outlet for expression – anything that fits their current mood. And like the past year, that could fluctuate. “I believe the only way to combat darkness is to create light. When you give, you create space to receive,” wrote Tara Riceberg. The California store owner is a spark to other retailers and her customers. In a recent conversation, she commented, “It’s all about connection and community. No one store keeps any vendor in business. We all need to work together to keep our favorite brands, artists, reps, showrooms, etc. in business.
