Gift Shop Plus Summer 2025
New & Noteworthy: Preview upcoming summer markets By Carly McFadden

From revamped showrooms to a first-ever co-location, summer market season promises fresh opportunities and products for the season ahead.

It’s the dawn of a new trade show season — and how things change in just half a year from our bustling winter show season. With various economic headwinds at play, buying smart is as important as ever.

As retailers prepare for the months ahead and make their final holiday season decisions, adaptability and strategic planning is critical. Trade shows remain vital hubs for trendspotting, relationship-building and order writing. With that in mind, the season kicked off with strong energy and anticipation in Dallas.

The Dallas Total Home & Gift Market took place June 18-24. Dallas Market Center emphasized the value of in-person connection amid uncertain navigation.

“Retail rules are rapidly changing, and I truly believe that attending market in person is the best way for buyers to gain clarity, make informed decisions and discover the brands and products that will make a difference to their business,” said Cindy Morris, president and CEO of Dallas Market Center.

With summer in full swing, Atlanta Market promises revamped gift resources — which can be found across 19 floors throughout AmericasMart Buildings 1, 2 and 3 — from July 15-21.

Atlanta Market offers both general and specialized gift resources, including tabletop, housewares, gourmet, outdoor living and seasonal. The summer 2025 edition of Atlanta Market will present six updates among permanent gift showroom offerings.

“Atlanta Market continues to be the go-to destination for discovering standout gift brands across every category,” said Scott Eckman, president of ANDMORE. “With these latest updates, we’re not only expanding the breadth of sourcing opportunities for buyers — we’re also spotlighting the innovation and trend direction that’s shaping the future of the gift industry.”

For the first time ever, *Noted: The Greeting Card Expo will co-locate with Las Vegas Market for the July 27-31 buying event. The sold-out showcase features 50 members displaying their newest, freshest greeting cards, stationery and more this summer at World Market Center Las Vegas.

“Las Vegas is the destination this summer for anyone seeking inspiration and new opportunities,” Eckman said. “With the July debut of *Noted Expo in the Expo at World Market Center, ANDMORE is excited to offer additional sourcing at the intersection of stationery and design.”

The market season rounds out in the Big Apple once again, with Aug. 3-5 playing host to both NY NOW at the Javits Center and Shoppe Object in the Starrett-Lehigh Building.
