museums&MORE Summer 2020
Resilience By Debbie Eisele

Determination, new ideas, flexibility and positivity will help destination retailers prevail.

The past few months have been challenging on so many levels, yet industry professionals have stepped up and have developed new ideas and processes to combat the challenge.

This industry is resilient and it will prevail. Doors to destinations will eventually reopen, some already have, and shoppers will once again traverse the brick-and-mortar aisles, hopefully in time for the big fourth quarter push.

In the meantime, if planning is underway, take an opportunity to sign up to view the free webinar Great American Media Services, our parent company, held in May that may provide some helpful information. This webinar was sponsored by Mud Pie and offers some great peer insight from retailers who are open, preparing to open, as well as resources to turn to. Plus, we launched the Survive & Thrive digital resource full of products, resources, and more. You can find Survive & Thrive on our website now.

Also, you will find product inspiration in the Editor’s Picks and the Product Galleries that showcase merchandise ideal for Impulse Buys, Jewelry, Custom Apparel & Accessories, Patriotic Appeal and At-Home Comforts.

Read about the inspiration from BRC Imagination Arts and how museums are navigating the challenges the pandemic has caused. Also read information on how to be successful with Q4 sales.

Remember to turn to our social media pages, weekly emails and website to keep up-to-date on the latest industry news.

Lastly, I’d really like to hear your stories and successes during the pandemic. So please take the time and complete the form on Share Your Story so we can then share it with others. Enjoy the summer, keep positive, and remain safe and healthy!
