Spring 2024 Trend Report: Peach Fuzz and its supporting cast By Carly McFadden

This year’s outlook is just peachy.

The Pantone Color Institute named Peach Fuzz (PANTONE 13-1023) its 2024 Color of the Year, and the hue is already permeating retail.

Peach Fuzz is a nurturing, velvety and gentle peach tone “whose all-embracing spirit enriches mind, body and soul,” according to the institute. It is a warm, cozy shade that symbolizes a desire for togetherness as well as moments of peace.

While 2024 presents turmoil and global unrest, Peach Fuzz calls for increased empathy and compassion with its tactile, soft nature. The hue, situated between pink and orange, aims to inspire belonging, comfort and recalibration, according to Pantone.

“Sensitive but sweet and airy, PANTONE 13-1023 Peach Fuzz evokes a new modernity,” Pantone Color Institute wrote in its announcement. “While centered in the human experience of enriching and nurturing the mind, body and soul, it is also a quietly sophisticated and contemporary peach with depth whose gentle lightness is understated but impactful, bringing beauty to the digital world. Poetic and romantic, a clean peach tone with a vintage vibe, PANTONE 13-1023 Peach Fuzz reflects the past yet has been refashioned with a contemporary ambiance.”
