The FSC Standards for Paper

The Forest Stewardship Council issues a set of standards for environmentally responsible use of paper. There are four different FSC seals as can be applied to papers:

FSC Mixed Sources and Recycled: Stationery made from recycled wood or fiber, well managed forests and other controlled sources. These FSC product groups contain a mixture of FSC certified material and other controlled sources.

FSC Mixed Sources: Stationery made from well managed forests and other controlled sources.

FSC 100%: From well managed forests. This product group contains 100% FSC certified materials.

FSC Recycled: Supporting responsible use of forest resources. This product group contains 100% post-consumer reclaimed material.
