Abbey Press To Showcase New Christmas Line in Atlanta

Abbey Press is decking out its Fall 2013 product lineup with a festive new array of items for holiday gifting, display, baking and entertaining. Titled “The True Gifts of Christmas,” the collection will debut July 9 in the company’s new permanent location at AmericasMart, in Building 2, showroom 1340.

The line – designed by artist Amie Jones in bright crimson red with white snowflakes and flourishes – includes a stoneware mug ($12), deep-dish pie plate ($22), casserole dish ($28) and ornament ($10), along with a tempered-glass cutting board ($13) and pack of 25 Christmas cards ($8.99). Retailers can purchase a metal baker’s rack with product and signage for in-store display.

All of the items in “The True Gifts of Christmas” line feature original sentiments celebrating faith, family and friends as the most treasured blessings of the season. In keeping with this inspirational approach, Jones has incorporated a cross into the centers of several of the snowflake designs.

Abbey Press Senior Merchandiser Jenifer Voegerl feels the line’s greatest selling point is that it is “giftable, functional, festive and inspirational – all at once.” She adds that “coordinated Christmas kitchenware has become such an important part of celebrating the season. So many holiday occasions center around serving and sharing food, and this line has the perfect pieces to fulfill those needs.”

Voegerl also points out the versatility of the items in the collection for holiday gifting. She suggests, for example, using the ornament as a gift tag; pairing the mug with a bag of cocoa, coffee or tea; and filling the pie plate or casserole dish with Christmas cookies or some other favorite holiday treat.
