Ace Named Official “Spokes-Buddy”

Deer Park, NY — The All Star Buddies already have a virtual playground for kids, but now parents and older “buddies” can enjoy the All Star Buddies too. Ace, the baseball buddy, was recently selected as the official “Spokes-Buddy” for the All Star Buddies and has a page on Facebook and MySpace.

AllStarBuddies.com is a safe, virtual “playground” for kids (ages 10 and under) where a healthy, positive lifestyle is reinforced through fun games, quests and social interaction. Children can collect the seven All Star Buddies plush toys for $9.99, available for purchase at selected specialty toy and gift stores. Ace’s popularity in plush and online made him the ideal “Spokes-Buddy” for the All Star Buddies.

“Fans” and “friends” of Ace will receive messages on topics including healthy living, sportsmanship and self-esteem, plus updates on the All Star Buddies’ virtual world and plush characters.

But that’s not all. The All Star Buddies have also begun distribution of a monthly newsletter. This month’s newsletter not only highlighted the new Facebook and MySpace pages, but it also covered a recent donation, through the Center for Disease Control, of All Star Buddies toys and sports equipment to children at a Kenyan Orphanage, many of whom were abandoned during post-election violence and/or because they are HIV+.
