Ambiente 2014: Increasing Spectrum of Small Electrical Appliances

Ambiente, the world’s leading trade fair for the consumer-goods sector, is the undisputed highlight of the business year for the specialist and retail trade. Around 2,200 of the 4,700 Ambiente exhibitors make their presentations in the Dining section and, as in the past, buyers will also find an extensive range of small electrical appliances. “The spectrum of small electrical appliances to be seen in Frankfurt continues to grow. Thus, this international business platform offers the trade optimum conditions for rounding off their assortments. Small electrical appliances are lifestyle products that are playing an increasingly important role in modern households”, says Thomas Kastl, Director Ambiente for the Dining section.

In the exhibition halls occupied by the ‘Kitchen’ and ‘Housewares & Storage’ product segments of the Dining section, buyers will find a variety of interesting exhibitors with small electrical appliances. Thus, successful international brands, such as BEEM, Electrodomesticos Jata, Hurom and NUC Electronics, are located in Hall 3.0. Well-known consumer brands, including Bialetti, Bugatti, Cloer, Gastroback, Graef, KitchenAid and Severin, are positioned in the high-grade setting of Hall 3.1. Suppliers such as Fakir, Jupiter, Ritterwerk and Rommelsbacher make their presentations in Halls 5.1 and 6.1. Additionally, there are many exhibitors, such as Küchenprofi, G.A.T. or PT Maspion, with small electrical appliances in their ranges alongside other branded products.

Six member companies from the Pro Business initiative are taking part in Ambiente with electrical appliances for the kitchen and household. Heinz Werner Ochs, Chairman of the Pro Business marketing initiative: “For the manufacturers taking part, Ambiente offers an excellent setting for presenting their high-quality branded products. It is also the ideal venue to make new national and international contacts, and to cultivate long-standing business relationships in the home and kitchen equipment sector.”

For the first time, Vitamix, one of the worldwide-leading manufacturers of professional-grade blenders for home and business use, will present its products in Hall 3.1 of the world’s leading trade fair for the sector. “Vitamix has consciously chosen Ambiente as the venue to introduce the company as the world’s premium manufacturer of high-performance blenders to a wide European audience. Ambiente sets trends, especially for the specialist glass, porcelain, ceramic and cutlery trade, and thus gives us the opportunity to present the Vitamix brand world and highlight products to our target group in an ideal setting”, says Michel E. Nouafo, Vice President International Household Sales, Vita-Mix Corp.

Another highlight for the sector is the presentation of the ‘Kitchen Innovation of the Year’ Consumer Awards, which are given by the LifeCare Initiative for especially consumer-friendly products in the following categories: ‘Small and large electrical appliances’, ‘Cooking and kitchen utensils’, ‘Kitchen accessories’ and ‘Kitchen furniture and equipment’. The awards will be presented in the Foyer of Halls 5.1 / 6.1 on 8 February 2014.
