Ambiente 2014 – Living Section: Five Exhibition Halls With Design and Living

Over 4,700 exhibitors will occupy 27 exhibition halls at the coming international Ambiente consumer-goods fair in Frankfurt am Main from 7 to 11 February 2014. Around 1,100 international companies and brands are taking part in the Living section of the fair and, in five exhibition halls, they will offer buyers from furnishing and furniture stores, boutiques, galleries and lifestyle shops an assortment of the best products for the worlds of furnishing, design, lifestyle and decoration. Dining and Giving, the leading platforms for tableware, kitchen articles and housewares, and gifts, are also part of Ambiente. Thus, Frankfurt offers the furnishing sector not only the latest trends for the home and interior design but also an international selection of unique products for individual assortment compilation.

An extensive range of products characterised by modern design is to be found at Loft in the exclusive setting of Hall 11.0, which represents the optimum venue for the design and lifestyle character of this product segment. Design-oriented and avant-garde home accessories, furniture, luminaires, textiles and designer products will be shown in Hall 11.0 by exhibitors such as Authentics, Henry Dean, Decor Walther, Fatboy, Philippi, Raumgestalt, Reisenthel and Umbra. In 2014, they will be joined again by Design House Stockholm and Seletti. Together with Young & Trendy in Hall 11.1, Hall 11 is the place to go for design-oriented ideas for the home and giving. At Interiors & Decoration in Halls 8.0 and 9.0, buyers will find all kinds of emotional product for the home and giving. Thus, a high-grade selection of international furnishing ideas with home accessories, furniture, textiles and luminaires of all kinds will be shown by exhibitors such as Eichholtz, Fink, Guaxs, Lambert, Scholtissek, Tom’s Company, van Roon and Zoeppritz in Hall 9.0 while companies such as Exotica Cor Mulder, Haans Lifestyle, Kersten and Wohnmanufactur Grünberger present their latest innovations in Hall 8.0. At Seasonal Decoration and Outdoor Living, exhibitors such as DPI, Kaheku, Opidecor with the Drescher brand, and Schlittler Decorations will present garden furniture, planters and outdoor articles. Buyers wanting to place orders for large quantities are sure to find what they are looking for in the two sourcing segments, Passage Home and Passage Home & Garden Select, in Halls 10.1 and 10.2.

The range of products to be seen at Living is supplemented by trend presentations and programmes for young people, which offer visitors interesting value added. In Hall 11.0, young up-and-coming designers will once again show their innovative interior-design creations. In the same hall, the Next promotional programme is the platform for start-up entrepreneurs with a design background wanting to become established in the sector and make international contacts. The main trends for the table, kitchen, interior design and giving fields will be presented for the seventh time at Ambiente 2014 in Galleria 1 under the motto ‘Sovereign Composure’. The four main trends – ‘stunning temper’, ‘subtle spirit’, ‘serene nature’ and ‘striking mind’ – are being staged by trend bureau bora.herke.palmisano. The presentation will be supplemented by guided tours and lectures throughout the fair.

Japan is next year’s Partner Country of the world’s leading trade fair for consumer goods in Frankfurt. The Partner Country globe was handed over to Japan by France at a ceremony during Ambiente 2013. After Denmark and France, Japan is the third Ambiente Partner Country and the first from Asia. An extensive programme with a themed day, activities and events is being planned. The Project Ambassador is designer Yukio Hashimoto.
