America’s largest permanent collection of holiday, floral merchandise readies for AmericasMart January

AmericasMart Atlanta’s celebrated Holiday & Floral / Home Décor collection confirms its place as the world’s largest permanent collection of seasonal and faux botanical merchandise as a flurry of new leasing activity yields a nearly 500,000 square foot showplace for The Atlanta International Gift and Home Furnishings Market^® in January 2018.

The expansive marketplace on Building 1, Floors 16-20 is the who’s who of the industry’s top manufacturers and importers, augmented by the return of Direct Export Company to AmericasMart and the relocations and expansions of Seasons Designs and David Christopher’s Collection.

“The ability to explore so much product in permanent spaces is what makes AmericasMart such a pivotal place for seasonal and floral buyers to source,” explains Brooks Beard, executive director of Leasing for the Holiday & Floral / Home Décor collection. “The trend presentations, hospitality and overall curation of the buying experience in a showroom cannot be replicated in any other buying environment. January is a critical buying period for the industry, and Atlanta is the premier opportunity.”

Direct Export Company’s return to AmericasMart for the January Market raises the bar for trend presentations. “Customers visit us first, then go see what everyone else is doing,” says owner Michael Sperl. “We use the showroom to showcase our fashion-forward, trend-driven product. The whole showroom is themed, making it easy for the buyers to bring those trends back to their stores and their own designs”

Growth in AmericasMart’s Holiday & Floral / Home Décor is also fueled by growth in international collections. The addition of Shishi US, Steinbach, Ludell and Soffieria de Carlini at the January 2018 Market creates the largest collection of European holiday and floral merchandise in the United States, which also includes Kaemingk International, Koopman International, Inge-Glas Manufaktur and KWO of North America, Inc. among many others.  Beard notes “We are the only market center in the United States carrying so many European lines. If you want to see the uniqueness offered by these lines, you can only do so at AmericasMart.”

The permanent Holiday & Floral / Home Décor collection is supplemented by the temporary Holiday, Floral and Baskets collection on Building 3, Floor 1.
