AmericasMart Holiday and Floral Collection Sets Industry Pace for 2015

Inspiration and innovation drive the nation’s most comprehensive Holiday and Floral Market, The Atlanta International Gift and Home Furnishings Market® (Showrooms: Tuesday, January 6 – Tuesday, January 13; Temporaries: Thursday, January 8 – Monday, January 12). The nearly-at-capacity, five-story marketplace is highlighted by new and expanded showrooms making their debut at the industry’s largest buying opportunity of the year.

“The combination of new product introductions and dramatic displays from our exhibitors as well as technological enhancements and Market programming from AmericasMart yields a Market experience that’s creating a buzz throughout the industry,” says Andrew Patton, AmericasMart vice president of Leasing for the Holiday & Floral/Home Décor collection. “Retailers and designers know that Atlanta is theplace to source holiday décor and faux botanicals.”

The collection’s location allows all types of buyers to optimize their visit to the floors. The new Floor 15 HOME & DESIGN collection connects Holiday & Floral/Home Décor to AmericasMart’s comprehensive HOME collection, encouraging non-holiday retailers and designers to explore the seasonal product offerings.

New additions to the collection include Koopman International (Floor 17), Dregeno Seiffen (Floor 20) and Harvest Imports (Floor 19). Longtime AmericasMart exhibitor, Select Artificials relocates from Building 2 to Building 1 Floor 19.

Expanded showrooms allow lines to carry a more diverse product. “It’s not just Christmas anymore,” adds Patton. “Retailers are increasingly sourcing for all seasons of decorations including Easter, Halloween and everything in between.”

Market expansions include 5th Season (Floor 18), Alexander International, LLC (Floor 20), DCI – Designs Combined, Inc. (Floor 19),Karen Didion (Floor 20), Maxsilk Inc. (Floor 19), PEMA Woodcarvings, USA (Floor 20), Pinnacle Peak Trading (Floor 20), S.N.K. Home Décor (Floor 17) and Tom Floral (Floor 19).

Supplementing the permanent Holiday & Floral/Home Décor collections are the temporary Holiday, Floral & Baskets and Halloweencollections on Building 3 Floor 1.

Technological enhancements to the Market include the AmericasMart mobile app and lead retrieval services. Launched at the January 2014 Market, the app delivers a greatly enhanced customer experience by making it easier for buyers to discover and explore new and existing exhibitors, categories, lines and products and to make note of Market events and promotions. Powered by Expo Logic, the lead retrieval devices will offer quick badge scanning, easy lead qualifying and note taking, and organized follow up. Supporting the app and lead retrieval is free Wi-Fi connectivity throughout the three-building campus.

AmericasMart’s comprehensive at-Market programming is highlighted by celebrity wedding and entertaining expert David Tutera sharing tips for adding personality with seasonal décor and home product in “Decorating Your Home for the Holidays with David Tutera” on Saturday, January 10.
