Atlanta to serve another piece of Mud Pie

Mud Pie will be serving up a big treat for gift and apparel buyers beginning this July at the Atlanta International Gift Market. The leader in home, kids and fashion gifts and apparel, has expanded again. Just two years after opening the corporate showroom on the 6^thfloor of AmericasMart Building 2, Mud Pie is adding an additional 7,200 square feet, bringing the total showroom space to 20,000 square feet. Earlier this year, Mud Pie also opened a 600-square-foot apparel-only showroom in Building 3, the Atlanta Apparel Mart, dedicated to women’s fashion and fashion accessories.

According to Mud Pie’s president Fred Pannek, the expansion is representative of the continued growth of the brand — both literally and figuratively. “In many categories the physical size and scale of our products is larger as we continue to develop more décor and accent pieces for home and baby’s nursery. Our customer base has also grown. The additional space will allow us to create an open, comfortable environment for buyers and at the same time show Mud Pie apparel and gifts in lifestyle displays that inspire retailers,” he said.

The new space is light and airy and feels like an urban loft with high ceilings, brick walls and expansive windows. By contrast, the existing showroom is designed to be warm and cozy — almost residential in feeling. The two style combined represent the many upscale boutiques and local retailers nationwide that sell Mud Pie.

Beginning this July, the Mud Pie Showroom will be open daily in addition to during key gift markets to accommodate buyers want to write orders between shows. The fashion showroom in Building 3 will be open during Atlanta apparel shows, gift shows and year-round by appointment to offer upcoming line introductions as well as in stock and ready to ship offerings for dresses, separates, outerwear, jewelry, handbags and accessories.
