Dracut, MA – On June 1, when Dracut resident Athena Mirabello took ownership of a Lakeview Plaza retail space that was formerly occupied by a fitness studio that had closed several years earlier, all that stood between her and her lifelong dream of opening a women’s clothing store was an exhaustive list of structural, plumbing, heating and air-conditioning renovations.

At Saturday’s grand opening of Athena’s Boutique, at 1734 Lakeview Ave., Mirabello and her life and business partner, Bruce Parziale, will celebrate with customers, family and friends the fruits of what was a long, hot summer of work to complete the interior design, set up, and stock “the only women’s clothing store in Dracut,” Mirabello said.

“For years, I’ve been saying that we just don’t have anywhere to shop in Dracut for a dress to go out in,” said Mirabello. “We either had to go to Nashua or Salem, and there was nothing in Dracut where you could stop in to get a nice top really quick.”
