August 2023 WWIN wraps up, establishes new location for 2024

The August 2023 edition of Womenswear in Nevada (WWIN), operated by Clarion Events, marked the last edition at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas Aug. 7-10.

WWIN and Las Vegas Apparel announced they will co-locate to The Expo at World Market Center Las Vegas starting in February 2024.

The four-day event featured more than 400 brands showcasing their latest lines to thousands of attendees. WWIN August provided a platform for buyers and retailers to explore women’s fashion and accessories, along with an array of hospitality amenities: complimentary breakfast and lunch, extended shopping hours, networking opportunities and unmatched customer service — all aimed to support an efficient and enjoyable buying experience.

Prior to stepping onto the show floor, buyers had the opportunity to explore designs and products from exhibitors showcased on displays with booth numbers, set to the upbeat tunes of a live DJ. Between appointments, buyers could enjoy daily show floor activations such as happy hours, permanent jewelry, manicures, massages and more.

“The atmosphere on the Womenswear in Nevada show floor buzzed with excitement as collections were presented to buyers, new connections were made, and business was happening,” said Melissa Montes, vice president of WWIN. “We were thrilled to welcome new dynamic exhibitors such as byVINNIK, White Lotus and Ricki Designs along with well-established brands such as Tribal, Joh Apparel, Charlie B, Habitat, Esqualo, Clara Sunwoo, Alfred Dunner, Berek and many others, all reporting strong orders being written.”

“I’ve been attending the WWIN Show for several years, and it is a really good place for me to do business with many of the lines carried in my store,” said retail buyer Ken Shrawder of The Clothing Store in Troy, Pennsylvania. “Personally, I appreciate all the on-site amenities like refreshments and meals, and the buyers’ lounge where I can recharge between appointments. The environment is very welcoming and it’s a show I can network and build relationships. I’m excited about this new venue and the convenience it will bring to us as buyers.”

WWIN and Las Vegas Apparel, an ANDMORE event, will co-locate to The Expo at World Market Center Las Vegas starting in 2024 for Las Vegas Fashion Week in February and August. Both events will share the Expo space while maintaining distinct brand identities, allowing buyers to shop between them.

The two markets will run concurrently Feb. 13-15 at the Expo at World Market Center Las Vegas.

To accommodate customer concerns about travel due to the Super Bowl taking place in Las Vegas on Feb. 11, the WWIN February 2024 edition will take place for three full days, with extended shopping hours, and will return to the four-day date pattern during the August 2024 edition.

“As we say farewell to the Caesar Palace venue, we look forward to our new permanent, long-term home where we can provide the optimal and elevated buying experience,” Montes said. “Our co-location is designed to cater to the evolving needs of our customers looking for a fresh, innovative venue for order writing in Las Vegas while building upon the high-quality amenities, community and customer service our audience has enjoyed for nearly 25 years.”
