Aurora’s 2012 Plush is Tantalizingly Two-Toned

Aurora World Inc. The short pile plush appears reflective and bright from one angle and soft and smooth from another. Retailer feedback was overwhelmingly positive when Aurora showcased its two-tone plush lines and hundreds of other new products at New York’s International Toy Fair earlier this year.

“The two-tone fabric gives our retailers a chance to offer a beautiful and appealing class of silky soft plush that is simply irresistible to the touch,” says Michael Kessler, Aurora’s senior vice president of sales and marketing. “Retailers can use these lines to draw in customers based on looks alone. Once they feel and hold these animals, they will be hard pressed not to take them home with them.”

A pink fawn, teal squirrel and purple unicorn make up the Jewel Pets, a line of squeezably soft stuffed animals. “A reflective jewel sparkles in each of the embroidered eyes,” says Kessler. Each is 11 inches and retails for $13.

Nine new animals highlight the Sweet & Softer line. Sense Skunk, Squiggle Squirrel, Foxy Fox, Bashful Bear, Cuddle Bunny (brown or beige), Rock Raccoon, Heddie Hedgehog and Brash Badger make perfect companions for kids, ages three and up. “Each is 12 inches and retails for approximately $14,” says Kessler.

Wishful Bear can’t wait to jump off the shelf and hug its new owner. Happy smiles and comforting material make Wishful Bears the perfect teddy bear gift; available in brown or beige (11″, MSRP: $14).

The Silly Monkey assortment includes six huggable and colorful monkeys with long fluffy tails and big fuzzy cheeks. “These monkeys are ready to hang out with kids and are great for road trips and naptime,” says Kessler. “Each is 16.5 inches and retails for approximately $12.”
