It’s going to be hard not to spend your money at Fifth and Main streets.

Property manager Dan Tribby, who is overseeing businessman Ray Hillenbrand’s transformation of the block into a locally owned shopping and dining destination, announced the lineup of retail tenants that will open their doors this fall in the buildings next to Main Street Square.

There will be a toy store, a game store, a travel store and an outdoor gear outfitter, along with a frame shop, art gallery and handmade furniture showroom.

Best of all, for book lovers saddened by Borders’ recent closure announcement, there will be a bookstore, at 510 Main St. — the storefront with its facade recessed from the block a few feet. The bookstore, whose owner has not yet been selected from a handful of proposals, will have a spiral staircase leading to an upper mezzanine lined with bookshelves.

The stores will open alongside four restaurants that Tribby announced earlier this summer: The Dakota Soda Company burger and frozen custard shop, an English pub, the Dakota Thyme deli and bakery and Manchego tapas restaurant.
