Cannon Beach, OR – For four generations, the Haskell family has created smiles at Bruce’s Candy Kitchen.

A Cannon Beach landmark, the family-owned confectionery will celebrate 50 years of making life a little sweeter for its many customers, employees, community members and friends with an open house.

The celebration, from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 1 at the store, 256 N. Hemlock St., will feature food, beverages, music, candy and, of course, plenty of smiles.

Since opening the doors of the iconic pink and white building April 1, 1963, the Haskell family has brought joy to countless visitors with their myriad decadent handmade delights including caramel corn, hand-dipped chocolates, fudge, caramel apples, jellybeans, licorice and award-winning salt-water taffy.
