Business Of The Week: Lost Mountain
What do they offer?
Lost Mountain, a charming store in Fairfax, offers a unique assortment of pendants, earrings and women’s accessories, many in sterling silver or semi-precious stones. They have a nice selection of Western boots such as Abilene, Minnetonka moccasins and sandals (both made in USA), and Western shirts for both men and women.
The wide selection of mineral specimens make great gifts and you will also find unusual pieces like a marquetry wood business card holder or money clip, both made in New Mexico. (See photos at right.)
The store also carries greeting cards, some fossils such as a dinosaur tooth and trilobite, as well as gorgeous amethyst crystals.
Who are they?
Lost Mountain is owned by Fairfax married couple Brian and Susan Fischer. For many years, Brian was in executive management at a department store chain where he learned the ins and outs of the gift business.
