California Gift Show Launches Eco-Earth Conscious Options

White Plains, NY – In response to market demand, the California Gift Show will launch ECO – Earth Conscious Optionstm, as a category for identifying eco-friendly and fair trade product, January 18-21, 2008, at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

The ECO umbrella will include green, sustainable, biodegradable, organic, recycled/reclaimed and fair trade products. Companies that donate a portion of their proceeds to charities promoting humanitarian and/or sustainable efforts also will be included. ECO exhibitors will be acknowledged with special iconography in the Show directory, online directory and onsite booth signage.

“Many buyers have indicated that they will be seeking out eco-friendly, planet-conscious product in 2008,” said Angelia Singleton, show manager. “As consumers gravitate towards green and embrace sustainability, the health of the planet has become a retail priority. We are pleased that so many companies have joined us in this initiative.”

Every division of the California Gift Show will be represented by ECO products, with categories including home decor, home furnishings, fashion accessories, apparel, personal care, handcrafts and more.
