Camille Beckman Supports The Special Olympics World Winter Games in Boise, Idaho
The World Winter Games of the Special Olympics are being held in Boise, Idaho this year from February 7th-February 13th and Gift Manufacturer Camille Beckman in nearby Eagle, Idaho was asked to donate lip balms for the Special Olympics athletes.
The games budget was cut in half and then trimmed again and again. Says Camille Beckman founder Susan Roghani, “We wanted to make sure they experienced a warm Idaho welcome and felt we could do much better than a tube of lip balm. Each of the 3,000 athletes were given a blue and white gift sack filled with a Sugar Plum Pack to take home to give to their mothers and a Travel Towel Bar Caddy loaded with goodies for themselves, including that original request of a lip balm.”
Camille Beckman also created 1200 sumptuous big baskets in Blue Platinum Ice for the Founders Gala honoring Special Olympics founder Eunice Kennedy Shriver. She was represented by her son and Chairman of the Board of the Special Olympics, Tim Shriver and daughter First Lady of California, Maria Shriver.
Says Roghani, “It has been so rewarding for Camille Beckman to be involved in this worthy cause. We invited the local community to join us in our factory and help in the assembly of the gift sets. A fun time was had by all in the four days of shifts. All in all we filled two large national guard trucks, our own 20 foot truck, and one extra large semitrailer.”
