Kingston, WA – Stacy Patrick hasn’t heard her cash register ring like this in months.

A group of about 20 customers calling themselves the Kitsap County Cash Mob came all at once Saturday to Patrick’s Clever Gift Shop in downtown Kingston, snatching up greeting cards, candles, mugs and various other items that haven’t gotten much of a look since last summer.

“Fall and winter have been bad in downtown Kingston. It’s been brutal,” Patrick said as happy shoppers — some with purple “Kitsap County Cash Mob” T-shirts and handmade signs — left her shop with full bags. “But this … this is amazing.”
