Celebrity Chef Alex Hitz to Present in Dallas

Alex Hitz, celebrity chef, cookbook author and founder of the luxury gourmet food product line The Beverly Hills Kitchen, will present a cooking demonstration on Friday, Jan. 17 at 2 p.m. at The Culinary Stage, World Trade Center (WTC) 1st floor during the Dallas Total Housewares & Gourmet Market, Jan. 15-21.

Hitz’s cookbook, “My Beverly Hills Kitchen: Classic Southern Cooking with a French Twist” has garnered editorial raves from The Wall Street Journal, Vogue, Vanity Fair, Departures, Southern Living, House Beautiful, The New York Times and Quest, and he has appeared on numerous television programs, sharing his down-to-earth philosophy on food and entertaining. “Give people what they really want when you entertain: comfort food – nothing trendy, pretentious or precious. They can diet the rest of the week,” he says.

Following college, Hitz enrolled in Peter Kump’s Cooking School in New York, and Le Cordon Bleu, Paris. In 2009 he founded The Beverly Hills Kitchen, selling one product on QVC – Beef Bourguinon. He then moved to HSN and built the most successful food brand in the network’s history. Hitz is now expanding his line to include cookware, small appliances and tabletop.
