Chocolate Dreams: A New Chapter for Sweet Danvers Legacy
Danvers, MA – For well-known Danvers candy and ice cream shop Putnam Pantry, this is a year of reinvigoration.
The Emerson family, Danvers locals and descendants of General Israel Putnam, have owned and operated Putnam Pantry since 1951. This past fall, patriarch Galo Emerson made the decision to step down as owner, and passed on the business to his son Eric Emerson.
Eric now runs Putnam Pantry with his wife, Cathie, and the two have some big plans for the family business. At the same time, Emerson knows what Danvers residents expect of the unique, homey candy shop, and he has no intention of changing this.
