Sweet store has new localeBy Jim WarkulwizCollegian.PSU.edu

Penn State students looking to indulge an insatiable sweet tooth have a reason to rejoice after a local favorite opened its doors in a new location Tuesday.

Chocolate Madness, a chocolate and sweets store originally located on Calder Way, moved into 134 W. College Ave., formerly Cereality.

Paul Jensen, owner of Chocolate Madness, said the store specializes in artisan-style chocolates.

“I don’t think a lot of students have seen chocolate like this,” Jensen said in reference to the European chocolate he imports, which is of a higher quality than the main domestic varieties.

For those who are adverse to chocolate, the store also carries Hershey’s ice cream, lollipops and other sugary creations.

Jensen said he had been busy since he opened the store at 11 a.m. Tuesday.

“The only reason we moved here was that our business was growing so fast,” Jensen said, adding he now has clients such as The State Theatre buying his goods.
