Christmasworld 2012: Over 90% of exhibition space already booked

All key players to take part

Although there is still a good six months to go before the next Christmasworld opens its doors to the international event and decoration sector, exhibitors and visitors should make a note of the dates. Then, from 27 to 31 January 2012, Christmasworld will present the latest products and trends for all festive occasions of the year, and do justice to its claim, ‘The World of Event Decoration’.

“At no other fair in the world can decorators, designers, specialist retailers and bulk buyers find such a wide-ranging spectrum of products to give their seasonal business a genuine boost”, says Eva Olbrich, the new Christmasworld Director. “Even now, we are very pleased with the number of registrations received. Over 90 percent of the exhibition space has already been taken and the sector’s key players, such as Drescher, DPI, Edelman, members of EFSA, Globall Concept, Inge Glas, Kaemingk and MK Illumination Handels GmbH have already signed up”.

At Christmasworld buyers can be sure of finding the right decoration for every occasion. Occupying six exhibition halls, the international exhibitors present party and festive articles, as well as materials for annual and seasonal decorations. In addition to Christmas decorations, Christmasworld offers everything for family festivities, such as weddings, birthdays and Valentine’s Day, as well as Easter and Halloween. The product spectrum stretches from silk flowers, artificial Christmas trees and planters, via ribbons, packaging, candles and fragrances, to Christmas-tree baubles, ethnic art and Christmas figures. And, for the traditional start to the New Year, there is a huge range of pyrotechnical highlights to choose from. Trade visitors can also look forward to seeing an impressive sea of light from fairy lights to lighting elements for shopping centres.

“What makes Christmasworld so attractive is the multitude of product groups that generate the synergies necessary for buyers to expand their horizons”, says Eva Olbrich. Moreover, all visitors also benefit from the fact that Christmasworld is held concurrently with the Paperworld and Creativeworld trade fairs. At Paperworld, they will find everything from greetings cards and calendars to office materials. Creativeworld is the trade fair for hobby, handicrafts and artists’ requisites and offers all products for making decorative accessories and decorations. Thanks to this unique range, a visit to Christmasworld offers threefold benefits.

Complementary programme with lots of inspiration and information

For buyers from all over the world, Christmasworld is a source not only of an unparalleled range of new products but also topical information, trends and inspiration. Thus, the organisation work for the Christmasworld Trend Show is already in full swing. Using exhibitor products, stylists bora.herke.palmisano will stage four trend worlds showing the colours, patterns and materials for the coming season. The Trend Show offers insights into future-oriented assortment compilation, indicates the directions likely to be taken by the trends in 2012/13 and reveals all lifestyle trends transcending the subject of decoration.

But that’s not all. There will also be a host of ideas showing how the variety of themes and trends to be discovered at Christmasworld can be integrated even better into special shows and highlights, and thus made more tangible to trade visitors. Therefore, Christmasworld 2012 will also include a spectacular special show produced in cooperation with designers of Holland’s 2Dezign lifestyle company.

The focus of the promotional area sponsored by Germany’s Ministry of Economics and Technology (Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Technologie – BMWi) is on innovative products and gives young entrepreneurs from Germany the opportunity to present their products to an audience of trade visitors.
