Clinton pet store fun for humans too
Clinton Town — Finally, a pet store that’s as much fun for humans as it is for the dogs and cats.
Patty Ratner was an accountant before she opened Fur Majesty, but she said she was bored. As the proud “parent” of a Jack Russell Terrier and a Border Terrier, she wanted to open the exciting kind of pet store she remembered from when she lived in California.
“We wanted to make it a fun place, where people who loved dogs and cats could find things you couldn’t find anywhere else,” said Ratner, whose business card lists her as “Alpha Dog.”
Ratner started searching for the perfect dream pet store location and soon heard that Matthews Mens Clothing on Main Street was going out of business after 30 years.
“It’s really a great town,” Ratner said. “It’s dog-friendly and perfect for this business.”
Fur Majesty is stocked with a huge selection of dog and cat toys, collars, leashes, treats, food, beds, bowls and much more.
