The winners of the two Business of the Year awards at the State of the County 2011 may be different in size, but ultimately have the same goal — providing service to the people of Craig and Moffat County.

The Golden Cavvy Restaurant & Lounge, 538 Yampa Ave., was named Small Business of the Year at Wednesday’s State of the County 2011, hosted by the Craig Chamber of Commerce.

Taking home the title of Large Business of the Year was Tri-State Generation & Transmission.

Craig Station Manager Rick Johnson, who accepted Tri-State’s award at the ceremony, said he was proud to be honored by the Chamber.

“I think we’re becoming more noticeable to the town, the county, and the state as providers of clean, low-cost, environmentally friendly energy,” Johnson said.
