Dallas Apparel & Accessories Market to welcome buyers this month

The August Dallas Apparel & Accessories Market will welcome thousands of retailers for the upcoming season Aug. 22-25 at Dallas Market Center.

The show will include more trending contemporary apparel brands as well as an expanded collection of footwear and accessories.

Taking place concurrently is KidsWorld (Aug. 22-25), WESA’s International Western/English Apparel & Equipment Market (Aug. 23-26), and the AETA International Trade Show (Aug. 23-26).

“As buyers seek fresh styles for the seasons ahead we are delivering in a big way in August,” said Cindy Morris, president and CEO of Dallas Market Center. “Our marketplace will be full of directional looks to help independent retailers stand out, including contemporary and western brands that may be combined to create unique personal styles.”

The marketplace presents apparel, footwear and accessories throughout multiple floors. Footwear is a fast-growing category in Dallas, located on the 10th floor. New and noteworthy for August are Planet Cowboy, Andres Assous, Mephisto, Sabot YOU YOU, Frye, Butrich, Alepel, ALL BLACK, and Miz Mooz.

Accessories are also enjoying growth in Dallas, according to Dallas Market Center. The Agency Showroom is a recent arrival from Los Angeles featuring a range of accessories lines including jewelry, belts and handbags. This showroom joins notable brands including Brianna Cannon, Jules Kae Handbags, Del Duca, Geraldina Jewelry, Capucine de Wulf, and Taylor & Tessier.

The 15th floor will include a new showroom from Eurostyle Fashion Group (15395), which will be bringing a fine assortment of international brands such as Oui and Luisa Cerano.

Also on Floor 15 is an expansion by Hyer Boots (15175, 15163) joining Hale Bob, SILKA, Inclan, Aguabendita, Love The Label, Felicite, Cartolina, and Kerri Rosenthal.

Among the apparel and accessories temporary exhibitors on Floors 10, 12, and 13, new in Young Contemporary are Artemis Vintage, Just Me, and OneTheLand. Notable brands showing in the Temps on 13 are CROSBY by Mollie Burch, Vero Moda, Z&L Europe, Sunshine Tienda, Ahdorned, and Holystone Jewelry.

In KidsWorld Studio on Floor 8 are Manolitas, Baybala, Dear Hayden, and Naturino.

THE GOODS by Brand Assembly

On the 10th floor of the World Trade Center is the showroom and trade experience THE GOODS by Brand Assembly, which debuted earlier this year. The 17,000-square-foot space showcases dozens of brands presenting their collections across all product categories including apparel, accessories, footwear, gift, home décor, and western. Stand out brands for August include Thrills, Intentionally Blank, Fraulein Boots, and Richter Goods.

Special events and activations include the following daily hospitality:

11 a.m. to 3 p.m.: Live chainstitching by Lunchroom Anxiety | Limited quantity of Champion and Alternative Apparel shirts available for personalizing

11 a.m. to 4 p.m.: RELYT Tea Bar

A happy hour with specialty cocktails will take place Tuesday and Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. On Tuesday and Thursday, it will have permanent jewelry from Link x Lou from noon until 4 p.m.

Style Eyes: Lele Sadoughi

Designer and style arbiter Lele Sadoughi will be present as a Style Eye trend-spotter for the August show.

Lele is the namesake designer of a fashion accessories company that includes collectible headbands, jewelry, handbags and other accessories.

The Dallas-based designer, known as the “headband queen,” has flagship stores in Dallas, Houston, New York City, and Newport Beach, California, and her products may also be found in leasing retailers worldwide.

In addition to serving as a Style Eye, Lele will welcome guests for the Tuesday evening fashion show.

All buyers are invited to a variety of industry, social and hospitality events including complimentary receptions, special photo ops and more.

Event highlights on Tuesday, August 22 include:

3 p.m.: “Lele Sadoughi Talks Fashion with Kameron Westcott.” Location: WTC 13 Smoothie Bar.
5 p.m.: Pre-Fashion Show Party. Join us an hour before the Trend Fashion Show for complimentary cocktails and music! Location: World Trade Center Atrium.
6 p.m.: Woven Landscapes: A Trend Fashion Show. Join us for a Trend Fashion Show and be swept away by the best looks from head to toe. The theme of the show is Woven Landscapes and will highlighting desert landscapes, American nostalgia, and styles influenced by the southwest including Joshua Tree, Marfa and Santa Fe. Location: World Trade Center Atrium.
