New shop premises would be perfect giftBy Alice DyerDaventryToday.co.uk

The owner of an established online gift shop is looking to expand the business by moving to a premises in Daventry.

Laura Connolly set up www.amysgifts.co.uk in 2005, after asking her husband – a web designer – to create an online site for her. The business has since gone from strength to strength, with sales increasing every year.

The online store sells a range of home, men, ladies, childrens, birth, personalised, hobby, birthday, collectables, wedding, pet and novelty gifts as well as card and wrapping paper.

Everything the store sells are items that shoppers wouldn’t find in high street stores.

Mrs Connolly, formerly a full time mum, runs the business from her home in Coldstream Close, Daventry, and sells to countries across the world.

She is keen to expand www.amysgifts.co.uk by opening a shop in the town centre but is struggling to find anywhere suitable.
