Diva Girls’ Glass Slipper, hip shop for ‘tween’ girlsBy Mary Lou AguirreKingsburgRecorder.com

Janine Mull has traded the no-nonsense working environment of the Internal Revenue Service for tea sets, tulle tutus and tiaras.

The Kingsburg resident has re-opened and re-located The Diva Girls’ Glass Slipper. The ‘tween’ boutique, targeting girls from 7 to 12 years old, opened on Friday, May 20.

The Draper Street gift store was open for about six months next door to The 50’s Place. The new 1,500 square-foot space is at 1440 Draper St.

Mull, who graduated from Selma High in 1982, has lived in Kingsburg for 23 years.

“I’ve always liked Kingsburg,” she says. “It reminds me of Mayberry. I don’t like the big city.”
